A Message from Dumpy February 2006

Hello Folks, I hope 2006 is going ok for you so far.

Firstly as you might know by now, 2006 marks DRN's 25 th Anniversary and we

should be doing a full tour later on in the year & hopefully a new album! but

until then we will be doing a few gigs & bike rallies etc.

At the moment DRN are going to be playing at the "Tsunami Riders Rally" on

Easter Saturday & either DRN or SpacenutZ will be at the "Celtic Warriors Birthday Bash"

again the week after, but whatever happens I'm going to be doing the compereing again as I

have done for the last two years. The full band line up is going to be confirmed soon, and it's

In July I will be playing as SpacenutZ at the "Easternhaze" festival at Gt Yarmouth Race Course,

I will be appearing Saturday on the main stage. This is going to be a very spectacular music event

being organized by Vini of  "Grooveweird" with other acts such as Ozric Tentacles,

Hear And Now & many more Spacerock orientated bands over the weekend.

As far as merchandise goes, there is a "SpacenutZ Live at Manchester Academy 2004" CD

available with each CD numbered, plus some classic DRN recordings, so contact the merchandise

link for more info.

Still no T.Shirts at the moment but with the 25th Anniversary coming up that will change.

The website has been going through some changes of late so keep coming back to see

what's happening as there will be some MP3 downloads coming soon.

The Nut Club is building well but we still need more of you to join up, so if you are interested please

send your details (Address & phone numbers etc)

If you don't want to be in the Nut Club but want to be sent update info then join the mailing list,

but please let us know your town.

One good thing about being in the Nut Club is that you will be the first to get any special offers

such as - sometime this year will might be holding a DUMPYFEST weekend & by being a

Nut Club Member you will have first refusal on advance tickets etc.

DUMPYFEST will be over a weekend with all of my four music formats including

supports & camping etc.

All is going well with my acoustic shows & this year I might be getting out around the UK a bit more.

I've been writing a lot of new songs & now have nearly enough for an acoustic album!

Last year I played quite a few Spacenutz shows mainly as support to Hawkwind & went down very well,

so I'm looking at doing some of my own gigs this year!!!

By the way, if you went to see Hawkwind in December and was expecting to see me playing with them

on the encore etc as I was suppose to, well I didn't, mainly through reasons beyond my control.

Bluezz Intoxicated gigs have gone well, but I'm looking for a permanent drummer as Nigel is

doing other things now & although Mick Kirton has helped out a couple of times he has his own band.
