Chaps, How about some gigs in London? Me and my mates used to come and see you
guys at the old Marquee back in the 80's. Even though we were thrash metalheads
we used to love see Dumpys - top, top nights out!

Pissed off at the Soundhouse thing. If they get their licence
sorted, any idea when you might be coming back - or anywhere else round the
Ipswich/Colchester area. I first saw you at the Kerrang Weekender in Caister
around the mid eighties I think it was, and then several times since. Can't
beleive you're still going. I've worn out my copies of Somewhere in England
and Firkin Well Live. Keep on hoggin !!! Hope to see you live somewhere soon.

Bloody Hell, Are you still going Dumpy!! most of us have given up by now realising
fame and fortune weren`t coming are way. I played drums for your old arch rivals
Deliverance, you remember us Dave Crow and the beat bishop. you used our bass
player once at stairways birkenhead when Kerry was ill. I played drums for Deliverance,
great times. Since then Dave the guitarist and myself have been in bands with
Terry Slesser and John "RABBIT" Bundrick. and I now own a 24 track
digital studio in Shropshire.

My God! The photo of you in the Archives in Stairways in '89 could well have
been taken by me. Seen you over the years loads of times lads, but that was
one hellova night - capped off by spewing my bike into a load of Police at 3
o'clock in the morning after it has dumped down outside the club all night.
Great to see you are still keeping the faith - live in Plymouth now (Royal Navy)
but you will be glad to hear Dumpys Rusty Nuts played out during my time on
ARK ROYAL in the Gulf recently. Superb!

Hi Dumpy, My god did I get a shock when I arrived on the Isle of Man for this
years TT races to discover that Dumpy's Rusty Nuts where playing at the Venue
on Friday 30th June. Unfortunately I arrived late on the Friday so missed your
gig but I thought that after over 20 years you would have been dead and buried
long ago. No offence meant but it was along time ago that we stayed in the Fairfield
Hotel in Douglas during TT week and sunk a good few beers with you.

other at a few gigs!!!!! Just wondered what you were up to in these technicallt-enlightened
(ha ha ha) times!! I hear from a little bird (well, not so little!!!) that you've
been supporting Quo. How is it all going, if it still is!!! Keep rockin' man.

How's it hangin' Dumpy !! My god, can't believe you have a website -
fantastic. I have been on a nostalgia trip since being contacted by an old
mate via friends re-united. We used to hang out at Jesters in Kingston, and
I first saw you at the Dolphin - where you scared the pants off me (well,
not quite ..!!) by staring me out when I didn't clap. Well, after that I was
hooked and saw you loads at the Grey Horse, even Manor Park pavillion
(where you used Private patients lighting rig). It was great to watch you
progress to the Marquee and then support Venom at Hammersmith (who were
crap). It would be great to see you back in this part of the world again - I
now live a few minutes away from Boxhill - so think of you often !! I've
un-earthed loads of photos of the band, and even a gig list from '83 - just
need to find the t-shirt (and wear it to school - that would shock everyone
on the PTA !!!!).
good to hear you are still rockin'

Every time the band played in Bristol, Dumpy would call me an ugly fat bastard,
then give me a beer after the show. It scarred me for life. Now my shrink has
told me to confront my fears. This would mean DRN returning to Bristol. How
about the fleece, it's a firkin good venue and the place I earned my Bum Flashers
patch in '85. So how 'bout it? Great to find out yer still going, keep on the
road.

I can't believe that it's more than 20 years since I first saw Dumpy in
action! I used to hang out at 'The White Swan' in Deptford London enjoying
bands like Nuthin' Fancy and Moontier! First I think you played as Dumpy's
Dirt Band and then developed into Rusty Nuts. I think that I managed to get
membership number 13 of the fan club and tried to watch the band as often
as possible which was never enough. I bought the 'Somewhere' album and
immediately put it onto cassette. I've brought that cassette with me
wherever I've been in the world and that includes places like Saudi Arabia,
Oman, Syria, Pakistan, Libya (no, i'm not an Islamic terrorist), Gabon and
the last 5 years in Indonesia. Can't claim to have converted too many
people to the band though as the lyrics don't exactly translate easily.
However, who knows , one day in the future we might see hordes of
Indonesians running around in tutus hitting each other with french sticks!
I'll keep trying.
