the road! I used to come to see you whenever you
played the Royal in Guildford, that was back in the
early-mid
eighties!! Man are we getting fucking old, old, old or
what!!!

I used to come see you & the boys with my best mate
Neil Gunner, He had a girlfriend called Sharon
Thompson, you likely remember them better because she
helped out with some backing vocals at the gig you did
at the Hammersmith Odeon, you & the "Nuts" were
backing up that bunch of Twats "VENOM"!

Sadly, Neil was killed in Motorcycle accident in 1988
shortly after I came to live in Chicago, He is now
forever on his way to "Box Hill" with a big grin on
his face!

Seeing the photo of you giving "the graceful
salutation" on the website brought back great memories
of time well spent with the best friend I have ever
had, watching the crazy bastard in the goggles &
tights combo!! you guys absolutely rock! I cannot tell
you how much I miss that!

Do you still have the Green jacket with the yellow &
blue verticle stripes? It looked like the kind of
thing one would should only wear while "Punting ones
lady friend around Oxford waterways!! Ah, you just
don't get that kind of irreverence in the USA! I have
feeling that you may have "Punted" a few "lady
friends" around while wearing that jacket, but I would
guess that there wasn't much water around!!

Well, thats more than enough reminiscing for now!
Take care of yourself (I just don't know why I even
said that), & I will try to hunt you down next time
I come home to blighty for a visit! Or, If you just
happen to wake up one morning & find yourself in
Chicago call or email me! You will be taken care of for
sure!

That night you supported Venom you really freaked out the Black Metal fans: was that when you had the
Boy George Tshirt or was it for HWs Chronicles of the Black Sword- another
great Odeon night?
Another Great Time with the Nuts was the Birthday Party Gig at the
Chiselhurst Caves(still got a half ticket stub - how 'kin sad eh?)... didn't
you play another gig down the caves? I'm half sure I went but the ale was
strong ...The night we quite literally bumped into you at the Dave Kelly
Band gig at the Cartoon in Croydon made my mates 18th complete...(probably
1986/7) Dumpy you were brilliant and seemed genuinely chuffed to be
recognised and chatted to....even if it was bull you were a brilliant actor!

Now I'm almost as old as you were I've gone off at a tangent and got married
13yrs back .... I will get back and heckle you again that is a commitment!
So in closing I still love Rock'n'Roll and 'KOFF Dee Snider ...remember
that???
